Working For You...

In-Home Personal Care: If you or a family member need personal care such as assistance with walking, dressing, bathing, toileting, please call us to see what services are appropriate for you. The Senior Center can provide in-home Personal Care Services through a variety of programs, including but not limited to, Medicaid, Medicaid Waiver, Veterans, Workers Compensation, Lighthouse, FAIR (Alzheimers Respite). A sliding fee for services may apply. We’ll do our best to ensure that you receive quality care while remaining independent in your own home.

Medicaid Waiver Case Management: A licensed professional will meet one-on-one with you to identify, assess and meet your needs. Our professional staff will be your advocate in evaluating and helping you to select services that will enable you to remain as independent as possible.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Waiver Services: Persons who have a non-degenerative, non-congenital insult to the brain caused by an external physical force resulting in total or partial functional disability and/or psychosocial impairment may be eligible for assistance in their homes with activities of daily living. Call us to schedule a free assessment for services.

Additional Services Include:

Transportation: Available in Lewis County Monday – Friday. Kindly call the day before the transportation is needed, if possible. Transportation is also available to out-of-county medical appointments. We ask that you please make your request 3 days in advance of your appointment.

Nutrition: Meals are available Monday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Weston Nutrition Site on 171 W 2nd Street, Weston. Meals are available Monday – Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Jane Lew Nutrition Site on Main Street in Jane Lew. Meals are also available Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Ireland Community Building, between the hours of 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Home-delivered or frozen meals are available. Gift certificates and details about Sponsor a Senior are also available.

Young-At-Heart Newsletter: For all the latest monthly news and events, don’t miss another issue! Give us a call. Subscription renewals begin in December of each year.

Fun & Fitness: We put together a full package of activities with you in mind! Card playing, Choir, Acting Up Drama Club, Preventicare Exercises, one-day and extended excursions — there’s no limit to the fun you’ll have at your Senior Center.

Your One-Stop Resource Center: Programs of interest to seniors and health screenings are routinely conducted. We pride ourselves in offering a range of activities for active seniors to those leading a more sedentary lifestyle. We constantly evaluate our program through input we receive from seniors.
